Your towing company listing on the Alliance registry

Delivered by US Tow Alliance registry, part of the US Tow Alliance ecosystem.

Short answer

A towing company listing on the US Tow Alliance registry is a free profile that shows your company on state, city and ZIP pages built only for towing. It adds a trusted citation for local search, gives AI tools a clear page to read about you, and ties your name, number and service area to a real company. Claim it free, then upgrade to Elite placement if you want to sort first.

Why a towing registry listing helps

People do not check one site before they call. BrightLocal's 2026 consumer survey found the average consumer uses six different review sites when choosing a business. Your name, number and service area should be right on every one that matters, and a towing-only registry is one where the reader already wants a tow truck.

  • A citation that matches. Another consistent mention of your name, address and phone helps search engines trust that your company is real and where you say it is.
  • Found by state, city and ZIP. Your profile appears on the towing-by-state pages for the places you serve.
  • Reviews and questions. Customers can leave reviews and ask questions on your profile.
  • Company news. Post updates, new trucks, new services and hires.
  • A free report. Every listing comes with a free report on the company.

A page AI search can read

More people now ask an AI tool who to call. BrightLocal found that use of ChatGPT and other AI tools for local business recommendations rose from 6% to 45% of consumers in a year, with ChatGPT alone used by 31%.

AI tools need clear, matching facts before they name a business. In Whitespark's 2026 Local Search Ranking Factors survey, local search experts rated three of the top five AI search visibility factors as citation factors. A clean registry profile with your services, area and hours in plain text is the kind of page those tools can read and check against your website and Google Business Profile.

Each Alliance profile also has its own AI assistant that answers visitor questions about your company from your profile.

Fake towing listings and why verified identity matters

Towing is one of the trades scammers copy most, because people searching for a tow are stressed and in a hurry. In 2025 Google sued an alleged network that created fake business listings with fake reviews for urgent-need trades including towing companies and locksmiths, and sold the information of people who contacted them.

Fake listings steal calls from real operators and leave drivers stranded. The more places your real company appears with the same name, phone and address, the easier it is for customers and search engines to tell you from a copy.

The Alliance is building a verification framework with local review, independent operational verification and a national integrity review. It is in development; see the data verification methodology for where it stands.

How do I claim my towing company listing?

Your company may already have a profile on the registry. Search your city on the towing-by-state pages, then claim your free profile. Once it is yours:

  • Match your NAP. Use the exact legal name, main phone number and address on your Google Business Profile. Do not put a tracking number here; see call tracking.
  • List your real services. Light, medium or heavy duty, flatbed, roadside, accident recovery, private-property impound, transport and storage.
  • Set your service area and hours. Only where your trucks can hit a reasonable ETA.
  • Add photos. Your trucks, your lot and your drivers, not stock images.
  • Answer questions and reviews. Short, polite replies show customers there is a real company behind the listing.

Elite and featured placement

The basic profile is free and stays free. Better placement is paid, it comes with the Business Solutions Membership, and it is disclosed. Elite listings sort first on city listings at the $1,500 a month level. At $2,500 a month, the listing is Elite and always featured at the top of city listings.

What makes a towing profile get the call

A driver on the shoulder reads a profile in seconds. Put the answers they need at the top: that you are open now, that you cover their area, what kind of trucks you run and how to reach you. A short company story helps too. Say how long you have been towing, who owns the company and what you are known for, whether that is clean flatbed transports, heavy recovery or fast lockouts.

Keep it current. Change your hours when they change, add a new truck when it arrives, and post a news item when you add a service. A profile that was last touched three years ago looks like a company that might not answer. Recent reviews with your replies show the opposite.

Tracking how your listing performs

In monitored markets, the Alliance Review Intelligence System tracks Google review activity daily, so you can see how your review pace compares with other towing companies near you. Pair that with review management to keep new reviews coming in.
